Struggling at Work

I am suffering from menopause symptoms and I am struggling with my heavy workload. The worst symptom is insomnia and I am going to be trying various things to help with that.

I can't function on 5 hours sleep and I'm making mistakes. I'm tempted to hand my notice in and try and sort myself out and try and get a less stressful job but my savings can only last so long.

Any suggestions?

I’ve been there (and five hours would have been a great night). Sympathies - it’s horrendous. The only thing that worked for me in the end was HRT.

Thank you. I am on HRT but still sometimes struggle to sleep.

Could you ask your gp if they can refer you yo a sleep clinic? It sounds horrendous, but giving up your job in this climate doesn't sound like a good idea. I hope you can get this sorted.

Yes HRT helps but doesn’t get rid of it. Before I was menopausal I never understood why some women gave up work because as of the menopause. Now I fully get it. Is there any scope to go part-time in your current job? Or to condense 5 days hours into 4? Work from home some of the time?

Try CBD oil for getting to sleep, it can help.

I went part time and finally quit. I just found my brain fog and irritability too much to manage.

Thanks for the replies.

I ordered some CBT drops and I had a better night's sleep last night. I don't know if this was because I was so exhausted or because of the drops but I will use them again tonight.

I am looking for another job because of the workload but things seem a bit more manageable now.
