Received p45 whilst on maternity leave

I'm unsure where I stand here basically I worked for an agency so my maternity pay is through dwp. I received my p45 via email are they allowed to do that if I'm on maternity leave? Any help or guidance would be appreciated Thankyou in advance

Thankyou I have looked on citizen advice website but wasn't easy to understand

When I found out I was pregnant I told them right away as was carer, throughout my pregnancy they reduced my hours to the point I had no hours and had to get another job delivering pizza to be able to pay my bills as had just moved into new house

Sounds like you should have contacted acas at that point then as they are blatantly discriminating against you for being pregnant

Thankyou I wasn't sure if they were within their rights or not as it was my first pregnancy

If it's an agency you aren't technically employed though. Is it the end of their holiday year maybe?
Check they have paid you any outstanding holiday pay
Do you get your money direct from dwp? If so it sounds legit to me
