Leaving permanent job for temp job?

I am currently in a situation where i have to choose whether i should leave my part time permanent job for a full time temp job. I personally would have left my part time job for anything full time, but the only thing stopping me is that the temp job is only for 2 months. Therefore i feel kind of stuck between whether i should leave my permanent part time job for a 2 month contract. There may be a possibility to keep me on as a permanent job, but because theres no guarantee that will happen, im not sure if its worth the risk.

Any advice?

What is your reasoning for leaving the part-time? Can you ask for full time there or wait for a perm role?

Or is it wanting to get out of that place in general?

The reason i want to leave is because the place i work cant afford to hire anyone else full time. To be honest, they can barely afford to keep current staff members

I wouldn't risk it for 2 months. I've left permanent jobs for temp jobs before, but always for at least a 1 year contract

Yeah to be honest, it just doesnt seem worth the risk. Thanks x

I think 2 months is too short, it's doesn't give you time to apply to other full time roles, if it was a year i would consider it

I agree with PPs 2 months is too short. I’d consider it maybe 12 months. Good luck finding something!

If this is the case then I wouldn’t be viewing it as a permanent job. Redundancy pay is a week’s pay for every year you have worked there.
