Working shorter days

I returned to work just over 5 months ago after been off sick with cancer. I use to work full day 8.30 - 6 but when I returned I realised I wouldn't be able to work long days anymore especially late afternoons as that when I get quite tired.
I spoke to my manager and he agreed that I could work 8.30 - 3 and i cut my hours down. Now he has told me her need me to start working full days again or later shifts as thats when I am needed more.
I feel so stressed and anxious about working longer/later shifts 😢

Hi OP, hope you are recovering well. You are covered by the disability act for the rest of your working life after a cancer diagnosis so work should allow reasonable adjustments for you. If they have agreed to reduced hours could you ask for an occupational health assessment? OH would be very supportive under these circumstances.
I too have recently returned after treatment and halved my hours but still have a nap every afternoon due to tiredness. If you are on medication this should also be taken in to consideration. Good luck.
