Pay deducted

In July my pay was deducted by £150 with my wage slip stating back pay. I changed my contract in June and payroll told my manager it was due to this.
My pay for the last few months have been
April - £1012.80 (24 hours per week worked)
May - £1012.80 (24 hours per week worked)
June - £675.20 ( contract changed 20/6 but worked 16 hrs per week and took permission unpaid for the remaining 8 hours)
July - £525.20 (16 hours per week worked)
August - £675.20 (16 hours per week worked)
Sept - £675.20 (16 hours per week worked)

I don't know if I am been really stupid but I just can't see an overpayment and payroll just keep telling my manager that it is correct.
It feels like I have been going round in circles trying to get an answer for the past few months, only manager can contact payroll and it just feels like I am not getting anywhere.
Can anyone help please?

What dates are covered in your pay?

For instance, mid June, I got paid for the 1st-30th June. If my hours changed on the 20th then I would owe money from the 10-20th as I would have been paid based on my original hours.

@HunterHearstHelmsley My June pay slip showed my old contract hours been paid 96 hours but I took 32 hours permission unpaid so I got paid for 96 but then deducted 32 hours

Permission unpaid just means that her manager/employer authroised her to have off to have time off unpaid.

wonder if OP works for the same employer as me, permission unpaid is a term they use.
Another thing to consider is payroll cut off dates.
Ie i get paid for the whole month on 28th but cut off is around 15th of each month so any changes after that date wont take effect until the following month. Could this be why July pay is less?

It isn’t really possible to analyse those numbers as you are providing a monthly pay figure with hours worked per week. You would need to put up hours each month as there are an even number of weeks in a month.

I have also never heard the term “permission unpaid”, can you confirm it means unpaid leave, which effectively means it is irrelevant.

What’s your actual salary? I assume you are salaried rather than hourly paid as you get the same amount each month.
