Interview Tomorrow and So Nervous

First interview in 5 years or so tomorrow and it's for an organisation I would really love to work for. I feel like I have done the prep/groundwork needed- researching the company and the project I would be working on, appropriate interview wear, practicing my questions aloud (still need more work on this) doing STAR technique to prep answers for situational questions....

Someone suggested I record some practice questions to review and I really wish I hadn't. I had no idea I came across as so monotone and basically moronic. I am so enthusiastic about this post and it just doesn't come across at all. Think I'm even more nervous now Sad

Best of luck, I've learnt just be someone they can get on with. Also the right job won't go past you. I got rejected for my first two interviews post 5 years out because a: not right industry experience and b: because I was a single parent. I wanted both immensely and was gutted however got my latest job and it's perfect.

Thanks Eesha. Think this is definitely one I will have to chalk up to experience. You're right though,.it might just not be the right position for me. It wasn't totally abysmal I was just a bit stiff and I know I waffled. There is only one question I feel like I actively ballsed up, just didn't get a good vibe.

@Ladyshaver I did go for one I thought perfect as was an interesting business, close by etc, thought the interview went perfectly. When HR called, they asked how I thought it went and I said brilliantly. They then responded with "I'm sorry to have to tell you this....". Anyway, next job was great too, overqualified but they said no due to not thinking it would work flexibly due to me being a single parent. This role now is very flexible, not quite what I thought my dream job would be but fits in perfectly around my children and pays well.

Just popping in to say "woohoo! I got the job!" Thanks for the moral support!
