Is this something worth being bothered about?

Myself and my male colleague have a close working relationship and friendship (nothing else, he’s openly gay and married to a lovely man). We have worked our way up in our company and now both have roles with “senior” titles. We are both in our early 30s. One of my managers keep referring to us by playful names such as “the terrible twosome”, “the bobsey twins”, etc. It’s meant kindly I think and he is very complimentary of both of us work wise. I just feel embarrassed when he makes these comments in front of colleagues or clients. It makes me feel very junior and kind of laughed at. Am I overreacting? Happy to get honest feedback x

It's not appropriate to refer to you by anything other than your name and/or title in front of external people.
Internally, not ideal, but not as bad unless you find it offensive.
Could you have a polite word?

Thank you so much for your reply! It’s good to get an outside viewpoint: I could try this but I guess as I woman one is always scared to d of being called hysterical, unreasonable, can’t take a joke etc… thank you!
