Moving out of a fundraising role - what could I do next?

I've worked in fundraising roles (community and direct marketing) for 15 years and desperately need a change. I'm stuck in a middle management role with no way of progressing without taking on a huge team which isn't what I want to do.

Has anyone made the leap from fundraising into something else and can inspire me with what they went into? I have lots of transferable skills (marketing, communication, project management etc) but the roles I look at in different sectors seem to want you to have lots of experience in that particular sector.

I enjoy the mix of project work, collaboration and creative work in my current role, but I don't have any firm idea of a role I'd prefer to do which obviously doesn't help! Just looking for something which doesn't require years of retraining and is a bit better paid than the charity sector.
