What could I do?

I'm rather institutionalised, always worked in universities/research institutes since finishing uni in 2000. Im 43, have PhD in biosciences, BSc etc. Was a research scientist until had my son 8 years ago. Had 3 years out, last 5 years part-time admin which has turned into conference/events management, finance and general admin. (Same salary, but so much more responsibilty than my colleague at same grade). I like my job, absolutely grateful for the autonomy I have, but i do worry im a bit of a let down and am capable of more/higher salary (terrible pension pot after student/sahm more than most also a worry). Apart from another move in university im wondering what else I might be good for. I dont really understand corporate speak, but im fairly sure a lot of what is on job descriptions I do as a matter of course, i just dont know the right terms. Ive always fancied teaching, loved having project students in the lab, but people tell me not to go there. What else could I do? What would i need to do to move career at this age/be taken seriously. Competent at maths/stats/logistics. Id be dreadful at sales.
