How long after an advertisement closes do potential employers contact shortlisted candidates?

If a job advertisement closed at 9am on a Friday, when would shortlisted candidates be contacted by?
The recruitment company used, is one my current employer has used previously and I know they send out emails to unsuccessful candidates as well as shortlisted ones, but I would have expected to have heard either way by now.
The advert ran for a month with a disclaimer that it would close early if they received too many applications, it didn't close early so I assume they didn't have hundreds of applications to go through.
The interviews are to be held next Wednesday so, surely, they wouldn't leave it until
Monday to contact people?
I think I have to accept I haven't been successful, don't I?

Personally I don't usually wait until the advert is closed before shortlisting and sorting interviews, I do it as I go. In this situation I would say it's unlikely you've been shortlisted, sorry.

I wouldn't assume that yet, close of play is usually 5pm so you may get an interview offer later today or Monday.
