Long story but current small team is in crisis, funding not secured for definate with only a few months to go so staff looking for other jobs. I feel the team has been badly treated by former manager who jumped ship to another team within the organization, left things in a mess, said she had completed things when she hadn't, others had to pick up the pieces etc. Ex manager treated us with contempt from the moment she knew she was leaving, very curt emails, no proper goodbye etc. I'm really not sure what happened but made us all feel horrible.
I have now had notification that I have to have an appraisal with ex manager in a few weeks because acting manager doesn't have the experience to do it. It's going to be very hard to get through this appraisal with this person whose behavior has been so damaging to morale.
Would it be reasonable to request someone else does it ? Am I able to decline it ? I don't have any worries about my performance or anything like that but just feel I can't go through with this.
