Are handshakes still a thing? Is it elbow bumps now?

Start a new job on Monday and have face to face inductions with lots of people.

Haven't worked since before the pandemic as been on mat leave then furlough.

I am trying to imagine meeting people without shaking their hand. Are the elbow bump greetings done in offices?

Following, I haven't been shaking hands in interviews and I don't know if I should be now.
I wouldn't elbow bump though, that sounds ridiculous 😂

I still haven't shoik hands or been offered a hand.

I'm not bumping elbows with anyone.

Socially a fist bump, maybe, but not in a work situation.

I tend to get it out of the way by saying cheerfully but assertively ‘Lovely to meet you - I won’t shake your hand,’ and everyone just agrees and carries on.

Do Mr Tumble wave.

Aspie here, detest handshakes, I was doing it before Mr Tumble made it cool.

No fist bumps or elbows in the office. Just a distanced breezy hello!

Love that! I do it too - quickly before people put their hand out to me. 🌹
