How am I going to pay my rent ? My maternity pay doesn't pay enough!

Hi ya, I am currently working and expecting my first child on march 21st.

However, my partner and I have just separated and my maternity pay doesn't even cover my rent!! Does anyone know if I an get help with housing whilst I am on maternity leave?

You should be able to claim housing benefit and possibly councill tax benefit. I know we were able to with DP working (low wage) and my mat pay (£80 p/w).
