How did it work getting made redundant whilst on maternity leave? Do you still get your maternity pay and then your redundancy money?
It may happen to me next year.
Sorry to hijack post.

I still got my maternity pay and and will get three months gardening leave on full pay at the end of my ML but no redundancy money as I only started working for them in December last year. I am so angry about this sometimes. I actually turned down the job because I was pregnant and they begged me to reconsider and then about 3 weeks before my ML was due to start they told me my job was at risk in a restructuring and now it has disappeared.

I haven't a clue what I'm going to do jobwise to be honest. Keep hoping serendipity will land something in my lap.

Anyway, enough moaning about me, what you need to know is that you should still get your full maternity pay entitlement and your normal redundancy package. As far as I was told, you cannot be put at disadvantage just because you are on ML.
