Do I go full time or not?

I may have the opportunity to work full time for a while(not sure how long for exactly but temporary) from new year. My dcs are 4(at school full time) and 2. Its great pay and may lead to more so is a good opportunity that excites me BUT don't know if I'd cope with guilt. I do work now but only 1 or 2 days a week. Lovely family very close who can mind + OH + only 5 mins travel. I'dhave school hols off too. Is it too good to miss? Don't need to do full time but do need some work. At present its unreliable and this would be very helpful financially.

Do it if it appeals. You don't have to keep doing it if you find you don't like it once you have started, so give it a go.

Sounds like a great opportunity if you have childcare sorted and school holidays off. Your children will be well cared for and they will have a happy and fulfilled mummy who will get to spend some serious time with them in the hols so don't feel guilty.

Temporary? Do it. Give it a try as Niecie says, and set yourself a target - maybe 2 months, maybe til the Easter holidays. If it's just too much, rethink it. Brilliant and congratulations! If you do decide to leave, make sure you pass the word to all local parents, what a great job!
