I just had a civil service interview. I was asked about my 2 behavioural questions but not any strength based. Job advert said that there was be strength questions and every other interview they have came up. I'm just confused as why not this time? Job advert stated there would be?

They don’t have to do strengths, but it should not have said in the job ad if they weren’t going to. Civil service success profiles has various assessment methods to choose from - most people go for behaviours and strengths but they are separate elements. I could do a whole interview or strength questions if I wanted! I recently sat on a panel where the hiring manager didn’t want to use strengths because he thought they were silly (personally I find I get the best information from them!)
