Public address on EBay?

I've been looking at starting a business account on EBay but is says that due to EU regulations the address would need to be made public. Does anyone know if it will be visible to anyone? I'm not too keen on the idea with it being my home address

Hiya, yes it will be made public. I had this problem when I set up a business account with EBay. In the end I got an address which you can hire online or hire a PO Box, all your post for you business gets sent there and they post it to your home address.

Something like this you can also register your company there so your address doesn’t show on company house and they will do your accounts for a fee also.

I have been selling on Ebay for man years but as my shop is registered on the US site this does not apply. Like you I would not want my home address to show up to any random. My safety and security is of more importance to me than any crappy EU regulation. We are out of the EU now.

You can hire a mailbox from Royal Mail or from companies like Mailboxes etc. Not cheap but its a tax deductable business expense as it is part of the cost of doing business. Or simply Google "accommadation addresses" and pick one in your price range. If you choose one to forward any mail on to you then it does not have to be in your home city! I live in the north and I used one in Basingstoke!

Hey! Bit of a side note but how did you register your shop on the US site? Did you make a brand new account or just purchase the subscription through eBay.com?
