Hoping to get some advice from anyone who is a manager.

My daughter works in retail, at the end of last year/beginning of this year she was off sick for 7 months as she was diagnosed with cancer. She returned to work just over 6 months ago on part time hours.
Her workplace is very busy and in the last 3 weeks, 2 members of staff have left so they are short staffed.
Im worried about her as she is so busy and rushing around and she gets tired very easily still due to medication. She feels that she is letting her colleagues down because she can't work more hours and she thinks she is much slower now and not performing as well.
I asked her if she would speak to her manager about the workload and how she is feeling exhausted but she says she won't because everyone is feeling the same and she doesn't her manager thinking she isn't coping. She is worried she will lose her job.
So just wondered if anyone could advise on how they would handle this if they were a manager.
Thanks

She needs
To speak to OH and should have had a review when she returned to work.

She spoke to OH when she was 4 months into her sick leave but hasn't had a review since.

She should have had a review with OH before she came back to work, so she should ask for one now. Her manager should be sympathetic towards her and try to find ways to support her. They should not sack her because she isn’t as fast as she was pre-cancer (and cancer is a protected characteristic under the equality act).
