What a mess

Daughter returned to work two months ago after two consecutive maternity leaves. (Second one unplanned due to contraceptive appointment being cancelled due to first lockdown.). DC2 and DC3 are 10 months apart - DC3 8 wks early due to daughter having covid.

She was full time delivery driver for a pharmacy.

Before she went back she asked for her accrued holiday entitlement so she could delay going back for another month. They said she couldn't take it as they had too many drivers off (holiday and covid).

They offered her two days work. No negotiation.

She wasn't paid the first month back and mysteriously her last maternity pay had halved? She was told next month's pay would be adjusted.

This month she's just been paid 75 pence. Rang payroll - manager hasn't told them she's gone back to work so she's gone down as absent and she's only got 4 days holiday? She's lost 5 wks entitlement which she's been told should've been taken before she came back to work?

This gets better - last week she was made redundant. She had 48 hours to sign full and final settlement regarding her employment. Which she panicked and signed.

She says they've told her 30 drivers have gone. Where were these drivers when she couldn't take holiday entitlement in June/July?

She's hysterical today as bills come out of her account soon and she's no money.

She has a phone interview in an hour but can't stop crying.

What a rotten mess.

Please get her to ring ACAS or her union if she has one, plus CAB. I would recommend seeking any free legal advice going. So so sorry Flowers

She could try the 'pregnant then screwed' helpline (you can find it on the Pregnantthenscrewed.com website).
I dont know what they can offer but it sounds like she's been treated very unfairly and they give advice for this situation. Its awful women have to put up with shit like this at such a vulnerable time Thanks
