I signed up inadvertently for a CV writing service but don’t fancy paying £99 for them to do something which I could do myself with help.

Does anyone have any sites etc with free CV writing tips or advice?

All the job sites like reed, total jobs etc have tips.

I did try asking a friend to help but she’s in a different industry to me and it wasn’t quite what I was after but well meaning.

I'd suggest you answer the job advert - when I'm looking at CVs - mostly I find they create a standard CV that doesn't answer our asks - and then it's usually an immediate reject...I know it's not easy to respond to each ad but if you want the job it's your best chance.
