New job?

So, I started a new part time job 2 months ago after my maternity ending working remotely 2 days a week and 1 day in London. I hate it. The guy who is the only person in the company in the UK is strange as hell, I barley do any work dispute me asking. They ignore my calls and emails and contact me when it suits them. Most of the time on my days off! I've sent my daughter to nursery and just feel like I am wasting money travelling to London every week, wasting money sending my daughter to nursery while I sit at home waiting for work. They basically gave me a laptop and a handover and told me to crack on.

I have a potential job lined up full time which will give me a routine, more money and I can have my own time! My life back but my contract states 2 months notice!! Which is a joke! I only do admin!

I am in my probation period but it doesn't state different in regards to my notice.
What can I do? I hate it, I want out but I don't want to be rude but I don't want to give 2 months. I haven't actually had a new job offer yet but I don't know!!

It would be unusual not to have a shorter notice period in a probationary period, it is the main reason to have one at all as probationary period means nothing in law, only in contract.

If it were me, I would just speak to them and try to come to a mutual agreement to terminate ASAP. I think you need to try that before thinking through other scenarios.
