Home office interview response times

I had a Home Office interview last Wednesday and still not heard back. Is anyone else waiting to hear back, alternative I expect there will be different waits for different areas.

There are different waits for different departments, depending on processes. It depends on when the vacancy holder enters the results onto CS jobs, and the CSJ team will usually action it same day But we have to moderate and discuss and agree results after interviews and it takes a while to actually enter the results/add feedback etc. I’m sure you will have heard within the next week.

government resourcing services have a huge backlog. We interviewed people in early July and the results have still not been processed.

It's a terrible service and it's crap for recruiters as well as stressful for the poor candidate. I hope it doesn't take too much longer.

Thanks for the replies. It's a total contrast to the private sector were I've worked for 20 years. We interview a candidate and they usually get a phone call within a day. I'll wait and hope.
