I'm currently awaiting employment support as my MH suffered in lockdown and I didn't want to return to my current job.
I was just getting back on my feet when ds tested positive for coronavirus.
Not surprising when he works somewhere it could circulate I don't want to out myself.
I duly informed my colleagues by email and apologised for any disruption, twice.
So today I saw them straight out of being cooped up for 10 days and one started on about my ds going out.
He did and was ill hours later.i believe coronavirus takes 2 to 5 days to incubate.
My belief is he caught it at work.
He then started on did I have a nice time on my 10 days holidays.!!
My boss was there and didn't stop him.
He doesn't know my elderly dm is quite unwell or realise how much wages we lost x 4.
I feel at a low ebb and this is the final straw.
Wwyd.I know there are always comments when people are off but I think this is going too far.
I feel they will all remark when I was contacted to self isolate and haven't been anywhere in months.

The time to have said something was directly after it was said. I wouldn't say or do anything now, but if someone speaks about it again then defend yourself. Speak up, be respectful, be calm, speak only to the facts, avoid speaking about the emotions but say something to your defence.

I did explain the incubation times which took the wind out of his sails.
I just think it is awful having to constantly defend myself for no wrong doing.

I think you are going through a tough time at the moment and you have taken what sounds like a jokey comment to heart. I have heard countless people make similar remarks to people and not meant anything negative by it. Please stop dwelling on it...it won't do you any good.

Limetta thank you.im sure you are right.
Head held high today.
