Hi everyone Smile

I need to redo my CV and have been a SAHM for the past few years.

What do you think is the best way to state it? Have you done it? How was the response?

Thank you!!

I was a SAHM for nine years. When I was ready to go back I just put on my CV that I'd taken a career break to raise my children. I also mentioned a couple of voluntary things I'd done while out of the workplace. It did the trick, I got offered a job very quickly.

Yes, just put the dates and say that you took a career break to raise your kids.

It's definitely worth including any voluntary work or study that you've done during that time, but please don't go down the route of listing all the transferable skills that you have gained as a parent - that just looks desperate and out of touch.

Good luck with your job hunt!

I agree. Career break to raise family. Absolutely not this bonkers home management executive nonsense. But if you did any voluntary work or helped at school you can mention that.

I agree Grin that stuff sounds bonkers

Thanks for the advice!!!
