Just applied for a job - but what does OTE mean?

I've discovered that 'OTE' means the pay is performance-related, but the position is part time, with a salary of £32k OTE. Does this mean that if I hit all the targets I'll get £32k, or that they'll give me £32k pro rata?

You'll have to ask them. Not saying 'pro rata' does not, unfortunately imply the actual salary!

look what you made me do i am now educated, thanks. go and have a look, it's a good explanation

It means that if you hit all of your targets for 12 months you would receive 32k. The basic could be ANYTHING!

MrsThierryHenry · 27/11/2007 23:43

Well thanks for your advice. Scary that the basic is not necessarily set. I'll have to see whether I get an interview before I start worrying, though!
