Turning life around in 30s

I've been concentrating on my family for 5 years+.

I have a degree and have always been in work (albeit a poorly paid sector, mostly revolving around care work and short term contracts).

I really would like to earn a competitive salary/retrain/turn my life around.

I'm looking for inspirational stories.

Postgrad degree. Government Postgraduate Loan. (Like Student Loan, only repayable once you reach a certain salary level.)

It's not just the degree itself; the time spent with tutors/practitioners and peers at university builds connections and contacts and opens doors you simply wouldn't be aware of otherwise. It's the best possible use of a year (or possibly two, depending on course.) Try to get into the very best place you can.
