Jobs that aren't 100% screen time!

I'm currently working as a researcher which I really enjoy but I can;t envisage spending the next 25 years sitting at a screen.
I'm a social scientist so while i do some face to face work in non covid times it is mostly reading and writing at a screen.
Has anyone got an interesting job which is more active?
I'm very open to suggestions!

Social work, teaching?

brownboxkit · 09/07/2021 10:09

Farmer?

MsAnnFrope · 09/07/2021 11:13

@rose69 they are both options I'd considered.
@brownboxkit I'm not a fan of early mornings sadly

I know what you mean! I'm a Legal PA so at the moment, whilst WFH, I'm just staring at a screen all day. In the office it's actually much better. Still a lot of screens, but more human interaction and moving around.

I was a dental nurse, that was probably 10% screen time and the rest was being pretty active.

MyMabel · 09/07/2021 11:37

Funnyily enough though I’m now an IT technician so 100% screen time.

I'm a physio, what about that? I prefer inpatients as I get more time to write notes and sit down but I'm also busy seeing patients.

@HitsAndMrs that's interesting - I've thought about doing OT training. I very much want a role working with people and ideally helping/supporting them.
