Non payment of SSP

Payday has been and gone. Payslip shows SSP to be paid on usual payday. Nothing has been received, and no response from employer.
What should I do now?

Check you are entitled would be my first move. Is this your first payment

Awakeupnorth · 28/06/2021 07:40

Thanks. Yes, I have, and the pay slip shows they recognise this.

You need to contact payroll and ask them why you haven’t received your pay. If you payslip shows SSP it should have reached your account the same day.

Keep trying to get hold of payroll, if they've sent a payslip with it on then they intend to pay it.

What's you normal payday? If it's today it could turn up later, payments don't always go in first thing in the morning.

Do you get full pay when sick? If so the SSP shown on your payslip is more of a theoretical payment I.e. you get the same salary but it is made up of SSP topped up to full pay.

Alternatively SSP is not a separate payment it would go in as one payment as part of your wages.
