Nhs pay increment disagreement

Hi, hoping someone might be able to help. In June 2019 I went from band 3 to band 4 after passing an exam. I used the nhs pay progression tool and this says that I should go from 21892-24157 this month, however payroll are saying June 22 is when my increment will happen, what am I doing wrong?
When it asks on the tool how many years experience have been completed in this band I put 1-2 and put 0% increase so think I’ve done it correctly but how can they be different?

Haven't increments been stopped across the public sector this year?

Band 4 is Agenda for Change and the next increase is indeed next year.

Ok thanks, but why the difference? I just am trying to understand.

Payroll is right. At b4 you are on the same pay for 3 years (0-1, 1-2 and 2-3). At 3 years, you go through the pay progression, so that would be June 2022 (3 years after June 2019).

If you had stayed on b3, you may have been at a pay progression point at b3 this year, but going up a band means you start at "0" again since there isn't a cross over between the top of one band and the bottom of the next anymore.

Ah right thank you, it just confused me. Thank you for putting me straight.
