Furlough Request While on sick leave

I’m off work sick and attending hospital for ongoing miscarriage care. My employers HR have called saying they could furlough me selling it that I won’t be on ‘sick’ leave as such. When I was last furloughed they didn’t give me accrued annual leave during that time. Not sure if this is merely good business for them, but not sure why it would be of benefit to me ( I’ll get full pay) Am I right to question this?

If you'll get full pay either way I would respond saying you are not fit for work and your understanding is that furlough is not to be used in circumstances where the absence has absolutely nothing to do with covid, therefore no thank you to the offer to furlough you.

Do you get full pay on sick leave? Assuming that’s what you meant, I suspect they want to furlough you to save them money. You can refuse.
Bigger issue though… you should have still accrued AL whilst on furlough last time. They need to rectify that!!
