Ending Statatory Shared Parental Pay while continuing Shared Leave

Is it possible to end my Statatory Shared Parental Pay after 26 weeks while continuing on with my Maternity/Shared leave for an additional 13 weeks, and then have my partner take the remaining 13 weeks under the statatory allowance once my maternity leave has fully ended after 39 weeks? Again, I'd only want statatory pay in the first 26 weeks of my 39 weeks leave, so he can take his leave and pay for the remaining 13 weeks of statatory pay and leave in the full 52 weeks allowed for leave and 39 weeks allowed of pay. Simply trying to maximize the allowances in one block of leave each. Thanks!

Yes. What you need to do is end your maternity leave after 26 weeks and opt for Shared parental leave.

You apply for 13 weeks unpaid ShPL to be taken immediately after your mat leave and your partner then takes the remaining 13 weeks ShPL and ShPP either at the same time or after your 13 weeks unpaid ShPL.

You both need to apply for ShPL etc. at the same time as you apply for mat leave.
