Secondary School teachers - a question?

Hello

Does anyone know how a hypothetical 9 months of maternity leave (there is yet no baby!) which would fall during my 6th year of teaching could affect making an application to go through threshold? Would it put me back a year, or can you use evidence up to taking maternity around the start of the 6th year and still apply at the beginning of the 7th?

This is baffling me, as well as a couple of colleagues.

I really appreciate any help with this!

eee this is my situation too. No idea but will be watching your thread v closely. I haven't organised any of my evidence in any case so I am a ways off of making my application.

Have you asked your union for advice?

I think that I went through the two post threshold levels while on maternity leave. They just assess it from the time up until maternity leave and although I did not work the full time (don't remember how long between thresholds, 2, 3 years) I did not have to work extra-time to make up for my time off on maternity leave. Hope that helps

sorry should have explained, i had two maternity leaves in three academic years and threshold co-incided with both.
