NC for this as I don't want it to be at all linked to my real life...!

Does anyone work at IBM? I'm in early talks with them about a job and am interested to know what their maternity policy is?

Thanks

Hi OP. Whilst waiting for an IBM employee try googling "glassdoor ibm uk maternity" which might give some pointers. 🌹

Thanks @Newestname001 have been poring over glassdoor today but can't find anything maternity specific!

These are the rates of maternity pay:

Weeks 1-6 90% Actual Earnings during qualifying period
(as per HMRC rules)
Weeks 7-26 60% Actual Salary
Weeks 27-39 50% Actual Salary
Weeks 40-52 40% Actual Salary

Eligibility is based on length of service 15 weeks before due date. The rates above only apply if you have at least 1 year of service at that date - otherwise it’s statutory.

Btw in general IBM is very good for flexible working in my experience - I do compressed hours (90% in 4 days) and they’ve been very understanding when I’ve needed to flex my hours due to childcare needs.

Really even I found stuff on glass door!

Thank you so much @brumeye - both for the detail and the details around the qualifying period. Also good to know about flexible working!

@ArnoldBee I could only find info about US maternity schemes on glassdoor and nothing about the expected qualification period (where I work currently it's 6 months)
