I left my job for maternity leave almost 2 years ago and have heard from my employer on two occasions since, and once was to quit the job.

Just had a text message from him which is completely unrelated to my job there, surely this is unacceptable? Does this breach data protection? Really not happy about it at all.

Yes he shouldn’t be using your number for that. But if it’s not related to your employment and it’s a long time ago, surely the most likely explanation is he’s sent it to the wrong person?

I’d text back saying you think the message was sent in error and could he please delete your number. Then block his number.

@flowery thanks for coming back to me and for confirming what I thought! No he definitely meant it for me, but I'm not happy at all. I've just blocked his number and deleted the message as I just can't be bothered getting roped in to anything he has to say (not a nice man at all!) But just really annoyed about it.
