Contractual sick pay and SMP

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me understand as I am not very clued up.

I'm 11 weeks pregnant and due in December.
I have just been told of a role change starting in 3 weeks and I am absolutely dreading it. I don't even feel excited about telling people next week as this has ruined my happy bubble.

I haven't had the easiest 1st trimester but I feel so stressed already I think I'll be signed off anyway as the new role isn't pregnancy friendly.

However I get contractual sick pay instead of statutory.
Would being off for a month or so affect my statutory maternity pay?
Thanks in advance.

SMP is based on actual salary in weeks 17-25 of pregnancy; I don't know if its the same for enhanced pay so you'd need to check. If you earn less in those weeks then your maternity pay could potentially be reduced as well

Do they know you are pregnant?
