Temporary contract and maternity leave

Hello everyone, I hope everyone is well :)

I am 9 weeks pregnant and my job is on a rolling one year temporary contract (it automatically gets re-newed each year). Mine is due to be renewed at the end of June 2021. I am due to go on maternity leave mid/end November 2021 and am entitled to 52 weeks leave.
Does anyone know how this will work when my contract will will technically end in June 2022 (28-30 weeks into my leave)

I'm very confused whether my contract will be renewed and my maternity leave (and pay) will continue for the full 52 weeks or if my contract will be renewed and my leave and pay will just stop?

Thank you everyone x

How long have you been on this contract with it being renewed each time?
Once you qualify for leave and pay then you will get them regardless of whether your contract ends. To qualify you'd need to still be employed in your 25th week of pregnancy.

Hi, sorry for the late reply and thank you for this. I ended up having a meeting with HR, my boss and my union rep. Managed to get contract changed to permanent so a nice win for me :) thank you
