My boss has taken big promotion. He and I are very different, to the point I feel he dislikes me. I find him arrogant and whilst very good at self promotion, not good at the role itself. He is not being supportive in the slightest to get me into his role once he moves. I really feel I would suit the role.
He is very narcissistic and can imagine is saying no one there can match him.
I have a lot of support from others but he is still a key decision maker.
Any advice? I’ve tried being open and asking him and get shut down.
