Struggling with return to work

I returned to work two months ago after a long term illness. I had a phased return of 6 weeks and the past 2 weeks I have been doing my regular hours. I am finding it difficult as I suffer with fatigue. I have asked my manager if I can reduce my hours for another month or so but he has told me that the business needs me working my full hours.
Im really struggling and don't know what to do.

What industry/sector /role are you in op?

What does your contract say?

Could you offer to take a day or two of annual leave (just a suggestion)? Can you wfh? Are there other "reasonable adjustments" they could make? (the "" marks are bc that is usually a policy afaik for illness and/or disability)

Can you get occupational health assessment? Or GP review regarding the extension of phased return? Once he has it in writing that you need longer to come back to FT hrs it might give you more leverage?

Sorry for the questions but maybe someone else might have more concrete suggestions? Good luck x

Would you be covered by the disability discrimination act? Otherwise go back to the GP and ask for a fit note with what you think you can manage? Does work have occupational health?

I'm in retail I can use some holiday but don't want to use too much as I need it to last the year, I don't want to go months without time off if that makes sense. I had a OH assessment but they just recommended the 6 week phased return. I could ask GP for an extension of phased return but I haven't had a fit note since December as I was shielding so not sure if they will do one now.

Go back to OH and ask to be reassessed . Are you classified as having a disability?

Op go back to your go. Ask for a fit note which says you are fit for some work. Specify what you can do/working hours you can work (there is a space on the note for this). Let your boss know you are open to another OH assessment as well if they wish. You can't work if you are too poorly and nobody would know for sure how you would get on until you tried it. It's obviously going to take a bit longer yet. I hope you feel better soon. Good luck xx
