Hey , I've took a part time job as a cleaner in a printing factory .3 days 2 hours a day .
I'm to clean 3 sets of toilets 2 cubicles per set . Wash basins and floors mopped . Empty bins and refil tissue dispensers.
2 kitchens wiped down . Sinks cleaned floors swept and mopped . 3 open plan offices with 7 desks in each . All wiped down cups to be collected and washed . All paper bins emptied under desks . 3 work rooms brushed and mopped . Hoover entrance way . 3 open plan offices and stairs .
I did a trial run last night with another member of the agency and we only just got it finished in time we both came out a sweaty mess . I'm on my own from now on and Im starting to get abit nervous about getting it anywhere near done .
Can anyone give me any tips to make it Flo abit easier ?
Thank you .

Not experienced but just checking those tasks have to be done over the 3 days in 6 hours? How long did the trial run last, was it 6 hours worth of cleaning between 2 people i.e. 3 hour trial run?

Cleaner here... I would def allow 3 hours for all of the above... A hard working 3 hours...

That's how I feel . I need another hour to get it done . 2 hours just doesn't feel enough .

oh bloody hell definitely not enough time then

Just suggest giving you 3 hours would ensure you did a decent job..
I refused a job a few years ago.
Beautiful house... Tight arsed woman wanted the stairs on an old huge staircase done top to bottom, 2 bathrooms and a downstairs loo, a kitchen, lounge (open fire so dusty and soot) hallway and passage dusted and vacuumed... All weekly especially the carpets as she had 3 golden retrievers...
In 2 hours...
A apologised but I knew I had no hope of getting it done and wasn't prepared to do a shoddy job. I politely left...
Wasn't risking her telling anyone I was rubbish!!

I might just phone them and say I'm not returning . It was only a little extra job
To bump up my normal jobs wages . I'm not sure I want to put myself through it .

It's even things like finding plug sockets for the hoover . It's quite an old building and all the sockets were being used by the PCs so I was searching around trying to find sockets .

Currently cleaner here. I would say that would take at least 3 hours.

AccidentallyOnPurpose · 13/05/2021 16:22

Definitely not enough time and they're taking the piss.

They either up your hours or rotate / cut some of the jobs.

GooodMythicalMorning · 13/05/2021 16:26

I have the same problem with sockets too. annoying!

Bedsheets4knickers · 13/05/2021 16:35

I've just sent them a message saying I'm not returning it was giving me anxiety 😟. Just not worth it .
