I’m not sure if anyone can offer me any advice, this colleague is not my manager but is a ‘supervisor’ to anyone who has knowledge of the nhs she’s a band 6 and I’m a 5. Just a bit of background I’ve worked there for 7 years, get on well with all my other colleagues, often get lots of positive feedback and I am known to help everyone out, she started about a year a go. It feels like she goes out of her way to constantly berate me and anything I do. I have briefly spoken to some other staff who say she wouldn’t mean to be horrible and say things like ‘she says it as it is’ ‘big personality’ I think she’s rude and a bully. I cannot confront her she is so volatile I would just end up crying and she would have won, she often puts me down in front of other staff, I’ve ignored it as best I can and just thought you can’t be liked by everyone just let it go however I had my student with me on my last shift and she berated me about an issue that wasn’t anything to do with me I just happened to be there and she said to me ‘why is so always so disrespectful to you’ and it made me realise the issue is not me. I am at breaking point, I have cried after my shifts because I don’t know how to deal with her, I’ve applied for other jobs, I have tried to swap any shifts where she is also working but I still have some.
