Ive changed to.condensed hours (5 days in 4) but my holiday entitlement has is only 80%. Is this normal practise, ?

If it is counted in days that would make sense. I.e. if your allowance when you were on 5days a week was 20 days that would give you 4 weeks off. If you now have 80% so 16days, on 4 days a week that will still give you 4 weeks off.

There are various ways of doing it but if you are allocated 80 per cent as days, you should not book leave for what is your non working day. So when you take a week off, you book 4 days leave not 5.

I chose to get mine allocated as equivalent hours rather than days so that I am confident that if I want to book a half day for example I don’t lose out as I record my timesheet in hours. You then just need to make sure when booking leave you book it as hours you normally work a day (e. 9.375 rather than 7.5)

I work 5 days in 4 and my annual leave is recorded in hours.
