Self-employed

Hi everyone
I have a question about the business I would appreciate it if someone can help me with that.
I’m currently running a small nail salon work for my self and I hire 2 people part-time. I rent that property so the government has help for self-employment grant but my accountant said to me I’m not self-employed and I couldn’t claim that self-employment grant. And he said the landlord who I rent that property could but I am running a shop and he didn’t he only to let the property.

Looking forward to get some feedback 😊😊

Crikey! That sounds all kinds of wrong.

Contact a different accountant and ask them.

I am self employed but don't rent premises or employ others but have always found the government website handy for basic information. Maybe you could find something there, under to the name of the specific grant you got.
