New person at work

I've just recently started a new job, and I am finding it difficult to make conversation with people.
I know there's a high turnover of staff in this job, and I feel like the current staff don't make the effort to talk or chat because it's just another new person.
Some don't say hello, I am always forthcoming and say hello but the conversation pretty much ends there.

I don't really know what else I can do.
Thank you

Nothing.

Relationship develop naturally.

I'm going to assume rightly or wrongly that this is retail or call centre or similar with a high staff turnover? They're there to work and get home, not make friends.

Say hello and goodbye and get on with your work in between. If there is a high turnover, it's for a reason! Small talk at work is painful and unnecessary haha

I think the atmosphere sounds horrible and maybe why there is a high turnover. Loads of people like to get on well with their colleagues- that’s not unreasonable and if that’s you, I would keep my eye on the job ads. We started 2 new team members in the last 2 months and making them feel like they fitted in and belonged was a top priority - one that we all worked on.
