Anyone do Job Share

I've applied for a new job, the recruiter says I could do part time hours on a job share basis.
Would this mean I could still do set days and set hours?
Can't do rotational shirts etc as I care for my elderly parents and need to work same days each week.

It does depend on the job.
In jobs where people work fixed days normally, then it is normal practice for job sharers to have their fixed days - so you always work Mon, Tue Wed and the other person works Thurs and Fri or whatever the arrangement is.
However if there is normally a rotational shift pattern, then I presume you would have to take turns with everyone else.

So a friend works a shift pattern of 2 earlies, 2 lates, 2 nightshifts, then 4 days off. I can't see everyone else's shift pattern having to work around you saying "I can only work on these 3 days"

But another friend works in a sort on Mon - Fri "normal working hours" job and one does mornings and the other does afternoons. I know quite a few people that always work either the start of end of the week and those hours will be fixed.
