Well done on getting the job!
I was a lunchtime supervisor for 9 years after being a sahm.

You will be great as you will have all the skills of being a mum which is what is generally needed (in primary school anyway).

Just be friendly and smiley, chat with the kids, hold skipping ropes, open lunchboxes, frubes and drink cartons, plus lots of hand washing these days.

A wet paper towel can help with most first aid, remember to fill in accident forms!

I really enjoyed the job, it fitted in well with the rest of life at that time. I have recently moved on to a job with more hours, but had a great time in the school.

Hi I have just started as a lunchtime supervisory assistant a few weeks ago. I was the same as you very nervous as I had also been a sahm for many years. Everything is like Mrs star wars said ( sorry I don't know how to tag names)
you will be fine.only thing I struggle with at the moment is the different consequences for behaviours but I'm learning. I struggled the first week with remembering names but I'm fine with that now and in with a class of 20 children Smile
