NHS Band 7 interview - VBR system

Hi everyone,

I'm soon to be having my first band 7 interview and my Trust uses VBR for recruitment, so I kind of know what I'll be asked but am at the freaking out point (haven't had an interview for nearly 20 years) I wondered if anyone is familiar with VBR type questions. I think I'll be asked a question about:
Conflict
A service change/improvement
A time I supported a staff member/coached them to improve etc.
How I improved the quality of care given to a patient
Mistake/concern

Are there any other topics that you've been asked/have asked others during a B7 interview.

Hi @Nessib sorry I've only just seen the notification that you'd replied to this thread.

I got the job! I've been in post properly since July 21 and I can honestly say I love it. It was a big change, I'd been in 1 department for 17 years, part time (2 days a week with occasional OT when I wanted to) to full time in a new department where I new some people but not many.

It's also strange that I didn't/don't have proper work friends anymore. Going in as the boss means although my team are lovely, I do feel they are guarded towards me, which is totally to be expected. I think if I had got a promotion in my old department it would be different as I'd known them all for so long.

Overall it is really great, my boss is going for promotion and he is pushing me to go for his role if he gets it, I'm really torn. I've only been a B7 for a year and I am so happy, what if I gave that up and didn't like the matron role?
