Advice on working while pregnant.

Hi all,

I am 27 weeks pregnant and as of last week have had the most terrible pain in my lower back, to the point I can't walk thanks to pelvic girdle pain. I have been off work sick since on ssp.

Up until this point I have worked full time in a very busy pharmacy and have been on my feet 8 hours a day.
I have spoken to my manager and they have said they can't see how they could adjust the working environment for me which I completely understand as I do usually have to be on my feet constantly and I do not have the option to sit at a desk or work from home within my job role.

I am just wondering what happens now. Do they have to suspend me with full pay? From what I've read it seems they have to. I am due to finish in three weeks anyway as I'm using holidays and then going on my maternity, will they just say stay off sick until then?

Thanks

If they cannot ammend your duties then yes they will have to suspend you on full pay until your agreed leave date.
