Aside from a brief stint in retail as a sales assistant, I've been a sahm since first dc was born 7 years ago. Much longer than I planned due to health issues which are still present but now better managed. I've been looking to find a job for some time and having no luck at all. I've been feeling like I need to train in something, but cheaply. I'm a single parent and money is tight.
I've started seeing a lot of data analyst roles around and it sounds interesting to me but I've got no skills or experience in it. Is this the kind of thing I could learn myself and get a job in? Would like to hear more from anyone who knows. I'm not unintelligent and generally a fast learner. I have a degree but it's a humanities subject and not something that leads to any particular job.
