Any ideas what might be going on ?

I have applied for a maybe 6 weeks ago but not heard anything back. It is within the same organization that I currently work for. I sent an email asking if I had not been shortlisted and they said they had had to delay the recruitment, I think it is a new team and they had not received sufficient applications for the team leader and new posts. They said shortlisting would be done during April.
Whilst looking at Indeed today, as I do everyday I've noticed the job adverts for all posts in this new team have been advertised again !! Does this mean I haven't been shortlisted, or could I have been shortlisted but they have to wait for more suitable applicants, should I ask if I need to re-apply ( presumably not ! ). Can anyone shed any light into what might be going on or should I just ask them at risk of seeming inpatient ? !

I would just speak to then about it. They're the only ones with the answers unfortunately.

Yes I think I will have to, I just don't want to appear pushy but am desperate to leave my current job and was keen on this one and it just seems to keep being pushed further back.

I honestly wouldn't feel like you're being pushy. If anything it comes across keen, which is good. It does seem a strange situation - good luck x

Sometimes these recruitment sites run the adverts again automatically. Check closing date of the position. This happened to me when I saw my job readvertised as they were making me redundant (I was moving to a different role before Covid).
