Working in a Mother and Baby Unit

Hi, I have been going round in circles trying to figure out what sort of job I'd like to do now that we have had our last child, I thought an admin job as it might be a bit calmer and predictable.. But I don't think it's going to tick enough boxes to leave me feeling fulfilled. I am a qualified Nursery Nurse but didn't enjoy working in a nursery and the pay is so low.
Looking back to what I really enjoyed and to my qualifications, I absolutely loved my college work experience of working in a Mother and Baby unit. I kind of forgot about this work avenue as I needed term time only school hours, but now my children are getting older, I'm wondering if it's something I can do.
Can anyone advise me on career progression from this role? Or are there any other jobs that might suit me similar to this?
I live working with babies and young children, but equally I think I'm compassionate to mental health and have alot to give to support others. I'm wondering if I could do some night shifts in a mother and baby unit initially until my youngest child is at school and then take on a full time nursery nurse role. I'm wondering what else I could eventually progress onto though... Anyone else worked in this sector and can give me some info?
